The cross teaches us that servanthood is the highest calling. Jesus, the King of kings, humbled Himself to serve others, and He calls us to do the same.
Raising children with a heart for servanthood means helping them understand that true greatness is found in serving others with love and humility. Children learn by what they see, so when we model a servant’s heart, we are shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
SOME WAYS TO INSTILL A SERVANT'S HEART IN YOUR CHILD:
1. Lead by example : Show your children what it means to serve others, both in your home and in your community.
2. Encourage acts of kindness : Help them understand the impact of small, selfless acts, whether it’s helping a neighbour, sharing, or serving others.
3. Teach gratitude : Children who are grateful for what they have will naturally be more inclined to serve others.
4. Explain Christ’s love: Talk about how Jesus served and how we are to serve because we are made in His image.
How do you teach servanthood in your family?
We need to "SERVE LIKE JESUS" and raise servant-hearted children to the glory of God.
